Jorge Tabajara
Fine artist and Illustrator
Natural de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, iniciou criança no desenho. Seus cadernos eram todos rabiscados. Sempre com muita curiosidade sobre estilos e técnicas, experimentou muitos materiais desde cedo.
Aos sete anos teve um desenho premiado por uma joalheria do shopping Iguatemi. Então estimulado por seus pais e sua madrinha, participou de muitos concursos e publicações da região de Porto Alegre, com destaque aos concursos de charges da Zero Hora, onde foi selecionado algumas vezes.
Após cursar dois anos de arquitetura, abandonou a faculdade em busca de algo mais voltado a sua paixão que era criar e desenhar. Se aventurou no mundo da aerografia e graffiti e focou nas pinturas de pranchas de surf. Graduado e pós graduado em Design Gráfico, ao longo dos anos trabalhou em agências de comunicação e design, ilustrou para os mais diversos nichos de mercado com trabalhos para grandes marcas nacionais e internacionais. Teve suas ilustrações publicadas em livros europeus de expressão do meio e também trabalhos em exposições de Porto Alegre e Florianópolis/SC.
Na área acadêmica foi palestrante em diversos workshops em algumas das maiores faculdades e universidades do RS. Lecionou Ilustração para o Design por dois anos na pós graduação de Design Gráfico na UNISINOS Porto Alegre.
Amante do surf e do mar, decidiu mudar-se para a praia de Atlântida, no litoral norte gaúcho, onde trabalha em suas ilustrações e pinturas. Dedica-se muito ao estudo de desenho e pintura e acredita na união poderosa do design com as técnicas dos grandes mestres.
Born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, he started drawing as a child. His notebooks were always scribbled on. Always very curious about styles and techniques, he experimented with many materials from an early age.
At the age of seven, he had a drawing awarded by a jewelry store in the Iguatemi shopping mall. Then, encouraged by his parents and godmother, he participated in many contests and publications in the Porto Alegre region, especially the Zero Hora cartoon contests, where he was selected several times.
After studying architecture for two years, he dropped out of college in search of something more aligned with his passion, which was creating and drawing. He ventured into the world of airbrushing and graffiti and focused on painting surfboards. Graduated and post-graduated in Graphic Design, over the years he worked in communication and design agencies, illustrating for the most diverse market niches with work for major national and international brands. His illustrations have been published in leading European books in the field and also in exhibitions in Porto Alegre and Florianópolis/SC.
In the academic field, he was a speaker at several workshops in some of the largest colleges and universities in Rio Grande do Sul. He taught Illustration for Design for two years in the postgraduate program in Graphic Design at UNISINOS Porto Alegre.
A lover of surfing and the sea, he decided to move to Atlântida beach, on the northern coast of Rio Grande do Sul, where he works on his illustrations and paintings. He is very dedicated to the study of drawing and painting and believes in the powerful union of design with the techniques of the great masters.
